What is a luffa?
A luffa (also spelled loofah) is a gourd that grows on a vine. When it is left to ripen and dry, the inside becomes a tough, open web of plant fiber, which is what you scrub with.
How long does a luffa last?
With daily use and proper drying between uses, we suggest replacing it every 3 to 4 weeks, or sooner if it smells off or shows mold.
Is it compostable?
Yes. Our luffa is plant fiber with nothing added, so it can go in your compost or garden bed when it is worn out.
How do I clean it?
Rinse it thoroughly after each use, squeeze out the water, and let it dry fully in a spot with good airflow.
